Deutsch: Das Bild zeigt die Mitte der polierten Baumscheibe eines versteinerten Baumes aus Arizona. Nach der Vergrößerung des Bildes werden offengelegte Gänge und Höhlen von Lebewesen sichtbar, die vor etwa 230 Millionen Jahren während der späten Trias in der Mitte dieses Baum gelebt haben. Größe des Ausschnitts: 15.34cm × 18.04cm
English: The image shows the centre of a polished slice of a petrified tree from Arizona. After enlargement of the image it is possible to see insect borings in the wood. They lived approximately 230 million years ago in the late Triassic. Size: 15.34cm × 18.04cm
